Audie Leventhal was once again on the docket for a pre-trial hearing today, January 8th, at 8:30 am at Salt Lake County justice court. We held a brief demo outside, spoke with passersby a reporter from the campus paper, and then went inside to watch to proceedings. Audie was scheduled on the docket for that day - but never showed up. We later learned that he had his lawyer go for him to get the pre-trial scheduled for the same day as the Jury trial - March 28th. Leventhal once again hides from us and the embarassment he no doubt would feel sitting in a room with people that know all his dirty secrets. Oh well, back to the naming and shaming him to his neighbors.
We'll keep everyone posted on the March 28th jury trial. Unfortunately in the U.S., domestic violence charges are often bargained down to lesser charges before they ever reach a jury trial so there's always a chance this trial will never happen.
If it does though you know who will have front row seats throughout all the proceedings.
