Only four people at the University of Utah have made the horrendous decision to use nonhuman primates in invasive research. These four people will one day be viewed the same day we now view those who supported Nazi war crimes or American slavery. These are people who blindly and destructively follow authority figures who have told them that it is acceptable to use these highly intelligent and emotional animals in their barbaric experiments. All this information is provided so that others may pressure them with legal protests - we do not support illegal activity of any kind.

Please be aware that targeted residential picketing within 100 feet of the targeted residence has now been banned within the boundaries Salt Lake City. Bear this in mind when planning any demonstration activities.

Unfortunately for the primates at the University of Utah, a new primate vivisector as emerged and you can of course count on UPF to expose any new primate abuser in our midst. Lane's new NIH grant, which started July 2007, studies how a high-fat diet in obese pregnant women affects their fetus. His study is especially pointless because the adverse affects of maternal obesity on the fetus are already well-established. It's also especially morally disgusting because we expect other species of animal to shoulder the burden of suffering because of poor lifestyle choices by humans.

Audie has been an animal researcher for a very very long time. He owns and lives in a few homes - including these two.

His current studies involve strapping primates into chairs and cutting into their brains. At the end of his pointless studies he kills most of his subjects. His past useless studies have involved sewing kittens' eyelids shut.

Angelucci's house is only a couple blocks from Leventhal's first residence listed. Angelucci does similarly horrible vision studies with marmoset and macaque monkeys. She's been a longstanding target by the animal rights movement in Utah and will continue to be until she finds another line of work. Her husband, Paul, co-publishes with her. He's a professor of mathematics and he analyzes her data. Alessandra's name is the name listed on the NIH grant.

Jennifer Ichida is a new researcher at the U of U who is also in the same line of research as Angelucci. Ichida recently moved to Utah from Tennessee. In Tennessee, she got her start torturing owl monkeys. Now she uses marmosets.
