WORLD WEEK FOR ANIMALS PROTESTS AGAINST LEVENTHAL AND ANGELUCCI >>

To wrap up world week - nearly 30 animal activists demonstrated outside the homes of Angelucci and Leventhal. This means that all three primate vivisectors at the University were demoed this world week.

First up was Alessandra Angelucci. Alessandra was trying to make her presence unknown - but we could see the blinds moving from inside the house. Presumably, she must have just gotten back from Ohio (where she saw more animal rights protests). Protestors' chants could be heard reverberating in the streets of Angelucci's posh neighborhood. Neighbors started to come out of their homes to see what all the commotion was. Again - a mixed reaction. Some people against vivisection, some people for vivisection. But nearly all upset at the presence of Angelucci in their neighborhood.

Then we went to the crowd favorite - Audie Leventhal. The people inside kept all the lights off but again we were 100% certain that someone was home. We started our chanting and a couple activists posted fliers on every post in Audie's neighborhood. (Flyer will be uploaded to the website soon).

Just about every cop in Holladay showed up at this demo. A total of seven police vehicles for 25 activists. A suspicious story of a horse jumping the fence was told to the activists so that we would stop chanting. We continued to protest as the sun went down.

In the past, the neighborhood here has been supportive - and again many neighbors told us that they see police in the neighborhood often responding to Audie. We even got the support of local personal injury attorney and semi-local celebrity Robert J. Debry! Apparently Mr. Debry is a neighbor of Audie's. (See www.robertjdebry.com - he runs relentless local TV ads).

However this time, there were some neighbors that seemed somewhat irked by our presence. Some neighbors tried to argue with the cops to have them force us to leave - but the police reminded them that we have a 1st amendment right to protest what's happening (maybe the police are also sick of Audie's violent criminal behavior? Hmm...).

We don't stop until the torture stops. End primate vivisection!
